Kate Mitchell is a licensed Occupational Therapist, and the founder and owner of North Naples Occupational Therapy Services, P.A. She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University cum laude with her Bachelors in Community Health and a Masters in Occupational Therapy. Kate is trained in a variety of sensory integration techniques including Therapeutic Listening, Astronaut Training, Handwriting Without Tears, Keyboarding Without Tears, Interactive Metronome, and the DIRFloortime method. She is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and regularly explores new educational pursuits within the field.
Kate has experience with children who have varying degrees of mental and physical disabilities ranging from mild to severe. She has worked with children who have diagnoses including, but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Auditory Processing Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Fine Motor Delays, and other medical diagnoses. Kate provides therapy to children at the clinic, in preschools or private schools, and in the home.
